Call For projects 2017

Apply to AR/VR Investment Booster (October 2-3rd, 2017)

Selection criteria

  • The applying company must have either cinematic or gaming AR/VR content production and enabling technologies as a main activity.
  • The company must be currently fundraising.

Conditions for participation

  • Submission is free of charge.
  • Deadline is June 13th, 2017 at midnight (GMT + 1 Paris time)

Key advantages for the selected Studios

Exclusive access to the AR/VR Investment Booster on October 2nd and 3rd including:

  • Public pitch session in front of investors and experts (October 2nd)
  • Pre-arranged 30mn one-to-one meetings with investors (October 3rd)
  • Free-access, as a visitor, to the whole event.

Selection process

  • The final selection is carried out by a committee designed by the Cross Video Days. All participants will be informed of their selection or non-selection by e-mail.
  • If you are selected, the participation to the AR/VR Investment Booster is subject to a fee (to be paid via Cross Video Days website) and to be confirmed within the 15 days following official results.

Apply to Content Market and/or to Coproduction Forum (October 3-4th 2017)

Selection criteria

  • The project must be digital-driven and designed for at least one other platform than TV or Theaters.
  • The project must be at a development stage and researching fundings actively.
  • We are specifically looking for innovative projects by their very form, storytelling, the technologies deployed or the financing strategies considered.
  • Strong co-production potential is a plus.

  • Submission is free of charge and unlimited
  • Deadline is June 13th, 2017 at midnight (GMT + 1 Paris time)

Key advantages for the selected projects

  • Access to the market on October 3rd :
    Exclusively aimed at selected producers, the Content market allows you to benefit from 30-minute pre-arranged individual meetings with international emblematic financiers such as Broadcasters, Online Publishers, MCNs, distribution platforms, & VCs among the digital industry.
  • Access as a visitor to the whole event : AR/VR Investment Booster on 2 October and Co-production Forum on October 4th.

Selection process

  • The final election is carried out by a selection committee gathered by the Cross Video Days. All participants will be informed of their selection or non-selection by e-mail.
  • If your are selected, the participation is subject to a charge. Selected project holders have so to pay their fee on Cross Video Days website to confirm their registration within 15 days after official results.

2017 FEE for selected studios

The 2017 fee is 1200 € exclusive of VAT (1440 € VAT incl.) per selected company. This includes accreditations for 2 persons and unlimited access during the event.

2017 FEE for selected project holders :

  • 300 € exclusive of VAT (360 € VAT incl.) per person to participate in the the Content Market or Co-production Forum. Accreditation gives access to the whole event. This includes accreditations for 2 persons, unlimited access during the event.
  • 500 € exclusive of VAT (600 € VAT incl.) per person who participates in the Market and Forum. Accreditation gives access to the whole event.

We invite participants to get closer to partner organizations (film commissions, clusters, producers association) to benefit from their promotional rate.

Save the dates

  • June 13th at midnight (GMT + 1 Paris time): Closing of the call for projects
  • Early-July: Selection announcement (by e-mail)
  • Mid-July: Deadline for attending confirmation for the selected producers. Announcement of the official selection
  • Day-10: Reception of meetings schedules for participants in the AR/VR Investment booster
  • October 2nd : AR/VR Investment Booster (Day 1)
  • October 3th : Content Market + VR Investment Booster (Day 2)
  • October 4th : Co-production Forum

Some few tips

Prepare your application

In addition to the information related to the project and the production company(ies) involved in this project, you are requested to attach the following elements to your application :

  • A clear and concise presentation file (15 pages maximum)
  • A budget and a synthetic forward financing plan, outlining the financing strategy you are considering for this project
  • A high definition image illustrating your project or your company logo in .jpg format
  • A Youtube or Vimeo link to a trailer if available

The first page of the form allows you to create an account on the Cross Video Days website. This new feature allows you to:

  • Take your time and save your form, to resume it later
  • Save time by duplicating information from a project already submitted in a previous year, to make it up-to-date and submit it.

NOTE: Our selection is made project by project. Your chance of selection is therefore not increased by submitting the same project for several categories. If you think your project is objectively matching several categories of this call, please choose one.
