Le Centre

When the level of the sea suddenly rises, Wallonia finds itself confronted with a massive influx of climate refugees coming from Flanders. On an emergency basis and for humanitarian reasons, the Walloon government, which now includes the Walloon and Brussels governments, creates “Le Centre”. This concerns a transit centre for Flemish refugees waiting for housing in Wallonia. But is the goal of the centre as humanitarian as it appears? Le Centre is a web series dealing with the relations between two communities within a context of a revival of nationalism in Europe and at the heart of a Belgium that has been looking for a government for nearly one year. In the form of a mockumentary, the tone is meant to be dramatic and sarcastic, but also humorous. In addition to the web series, a multitude of additional content will be offered to the audience of this transmedia series.
