De l’autre côté

More than 4 millions of km2 ( about 2 500 000 miles), almost 500 millions of inhabitants, around thirty official languages and a big fear: to live (ou to be) in the middle of thousands of migrants who are looking for a better life, hope, and even salvation. This is Europe! But even more so, a Europe's Fortress, the name of this new continent which takes shape every day right before ours eyes and banishing a fundamental right : freedom of movement. A lot of subjects about migration, carried by mass media, are out of step with reality and used by the elected representatives, in particular in time of election. This instrumentalization must stop! Migrants are Human Being before everything. « On the other side » is a webdoc which tries to understand immigration and wants to rally a wide audience to this cause, the protection of Human Rights of any woman and any man. It is written with some organizations working around immigration´s subject. Ligue of Human Rights, FASTI, CIMADE Rhône-Alpes, MIGREUROP and the scientifics' network TERRA has joined us. We are in contact with the radio FRANCE INTER with the possibility of being broadcasted on their Web Site. Moreover, our team has been selected to the International Festival of Scriptwriters, as new talents in Webdoc's production. And we have participated in the « Magic Web Labo » of this festival, from March 30th to April 2nd. Reaching out to migrants people and organizations, it will be possible to understand the different issues of migrations in the context of international relations. The shooting will take place from Paris to Istanbul, through Lampedusa and through Patras. Let us dare to know who are these women and these men, the course of one's life, their purpose and their reasons. Thanks to the Web Documentary and his interactive opportunities, let us dare to accept this lesson of humility given by human beings, let us dare to engage our indiviuality around those problems that concern all of us!
