A major new cross-platform film project exploring our relationship with the world's physical resources. 94 Elements is a global documentary project based around the 94 naturally occurring elements, from Hydrogen to Plutonium. The project will produce a myriad of films across web, mobile and broadcast platforms exploring the different ways we use the elements in our daily lives. The project will launch with a series of commissioned films from award-winning filmmakers, after which it will become user-led, with new and emerging filmmakers submitting their own films exploring the elements and their compounds. 94 Elements is an innovative and thought-provoking view of our relationship with the planet’s physical resources, and a unique celebration of the many different forms of documentary film. The project is motivated by the unprecedented rate at which our mineral resources are being exploited. Known supplies of Indium, for example, commonly used in the manufacture of TV’s and the computer monitor which you’re probably reading this on right now, could all be gone in 10 years, Silver in 25 years, Tin in 35.
